FatPort to provide wireless Internet access to delegates at Softworld 2001
VANCOUVER BC, CANADA (October 10, 2001)--Softworld 2001 today announced that FatPort, the
leader in street-level wireless network systems, will provide a wireless network for delegates
to access at the upcoming partnering conference, to be held at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver from
November 4-6, 2001.

The FatPort Network allows customers to access the Internet wirelessly at high speed from a
multitude of public locations such as cafes, restaurants, hotels, and airports.
At Softworld the FatPort network, which employs the latest high-speed wireless networking
equipment, will provide delegates with access at up to 11 Mbps. This fast network will provide the
ability to easily stay connected to the office during the conference and to demonstrate services and
software to potential partners in real time.
During Softworld all delegates will require is their laptop, Palm(tm), Handspring (tm), or Pocket
PC (tm), with an 802.11b PCMCIA card installed. Wireless ready delegates will be able to take
advantage of the network quickly and easily. In addition, FatPort will be demonstrating its
capabilities as part of the Marketplace Cafe at Softworld.
