Targeted both at local consultants and mobile professionals, the new pricing structure is designed to bring wireless connectivity into mainstream acceptance. With price points ranging from $4.95 for an hour of access to $34.95 for a monthly subscription, FatPort is now the most economical provider in Canada.

"As we see a strong growth opportunity in the hotel industry, our prices are now based around $9.95 for 24-hours of access which is competitive to current offerings in the hospitality market. FatPort operates nearly 50 public-access wireless Internet zones throughout Canada. Utilizing Wi-Fi, also known as 802.11b, the technology reaches speeds of up to 11 megabits per second, over 40 times faster than other wireless technologies.
