FatPort Celebrates 1st Birthday with Contest

Vancouver, BC, September 18, 2002 --FatPort announced the company's first anniversary by giving away 2 Gold Passes to the 21st season of the Vancouver International Film Festival.

FatPort is a proud sponsor of the VIFF and is excited to provide free high speed wireless Internet access in various VIFF venues around Vancouver. Festival staff will be able to provide patrons with up-to-the-minute scheduling information in cinema line-ups, and at the ticket kiosk using wireless-enabled devices provided by FatPort.

FatPort.s Event Services fulfil a critical need for event planners: easy Internet access. Quick deployment, and very low maintenance, support, and space requirements are all characteristics of a FatPort wireless installation. The FatPoint Intelligent Access Point, roughly the size of a paperback book, takes about 3 minutes to install. No setup or technical knowledge is needed. FatPort regularly (un)wires events around Vancouver including the Tour de Gastown, TechVibes and the Vancouver Enterprise Forum.
